Palmera Media is built on a deep-rooted legacy of journalism, inspired by my grandfather, Don Carlos Becerril, a dedicated journalist in Mexico. He wasn’t just a writer—he was a leader in the journalism community in Estado de México, committed to truth, storytelling, and giving a voice to those who needed it most.
At 14, I started working for his newspaper Accion Municipal, learning the craft firsthand. I quickly saw the potential to bring his work into the digital space and created an online blog for the publication, merging tradition with modern media. His dedication and leadership shaped the way I saw storytelling—not just as a means of sharing information, but as a tool for cultural preservation and empowerment.
After his passing, I felt a responsibility to carry on that legacy in my own way. That’s how Palmera Media was born. More than a media company, it is a platform dedicated to culture, representation, and meaningful storytelling. Our mission is to highlight the voices and narratives that shape our communities, just as my grandfather did through his work.
From the print pages of his newspaper to the digital space of today, the heart of our work remains the same: telling stories that matter.
